Our Origin & Registration History

Thinkaxispoint Consulting Co., Ltd. was officially established in 2018 by veteran software practitioner Shengyu Chen in Sanchong District, New Taipei City.

The practice was founded on a simple observation: when engineering organizations grow, the default reaction to architectural friction is either hiring temporary contractors or attempting expensive top-down rewrites. Both approaches frequently fail because they overlook the most vital asset—the internal engineering team's collective craft, confidence, and review rigor.

Since 2018, Thinkaxispoint has partnered with software departments across New Taipei City, Taipei, Hsinchu Science Park, and distributed teams across Taiwan. We do not operate as an outsourced body shop or an impersonal software agency. Instead, we embed veteran practitioners directly alongside your engineers, pairing on active production code, formalizing Architectural Decision Records (ADRs), and transforming pull request reviews from tense bottlenecks into constructive learning hubs.

Shengyu brings over fifteen years of hands-on software engineering, distributed systems design, and technical leadership experience. Prior to establishing Thinkaxispoint in 2018, Shengyu led backend architecture and developer infrastructure for high-throughput transactional platforms in Taiwan.

His consulting approach centers on practical domain modeling, zero-regression legacy modernization, and coaching senior developers into influential staff engineers.

Thinkaxispoint is a programming consulting and mentorship practice: we pair directly with your existing engineers, elevating their architectural capabilities, code review standards, and technical confidence so your team becomes completely self-sufficient.

We operate from New Taipei City and provide both on-site mentorship sessions across New Taipei City, Taipei, and Hsinchu Science Park, as well as synchronous remote pairing sessions for distributed engineering squads throughout Taiwan.

Our mentorship principles—architectural boundaries, test harness insertion, clean interfaces, and review rigor—apply across modern programming ecosystems, including TypeScript/Node.js, Go, Python, Java/Kotlin, C#, Rust, and modern relational/document databases.

For an embedded monthly mentorship engagement, we typically require 3 to 4 hours per week per participating engineer, split between paired coding, architecture review sessions, and 1-on-1 coaching. This is designed to integrate seamlessly with active sprint deliverables.
